Salary

At Ghent University we offer you a salary according to fixed salary scales. Your salary scale is determined by several factors: the staff category, the level of the function and your working experience. In each vacancy you will find which salary scales or grades apply to the position.

Your salary will increase as you gain more experience. Seniority that you have built up with previous employers will under certain conditions be taken into account when we calculate your salary. In addition to that, every employee is entitled to an end-of-year premium and holiday pay.
