YOUR TASKS

 

  • At least 70% of your assignment will be spent on academic research in the field of data- analytic approaches in cognitive (neuro)science and/or artificial intelligence
  • You will assist in teaching activities at the Master level, i.e. the course “Analysis of repeated measures” and other courses on advanced data modeling and analysis in the Experimental Psychology program. The teaching language is English. 
  • You will supervise Master students in their exercises, internship and Master’s dissertation
  • You will provide data-analysis support to researchers in the Department of Experimental Psychology
  • You contribute to ad-hoc departmental duties

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • You hold a doctoral degree in Data-analysis, Statistics, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or related field. The degree requirements need to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment.
  • For diplomas awarded outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) must be submitted.
  • You have extensive experience with advanced data-analysis methods and/or computational modelling.
  • You have an explicit interest in artificial intelligence
  • You are profoundly interested in methodologically supporting researchers and Master students.
  • You are able to explain difficult analysis techniques to researchers who are less experienced.
  • You are highly proficient in English (minimum C1-level)
  • You have strong time-management and organizational skills. You can keep track of your support activities across multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • You are a team player and you are happy playing a supportive role in the projects that you contribute to.
  • You have relevant scientific publications in (inter)national peer-reviewed academic journals that are widely disseminated

 

 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

 

  • We offer you a temporary appointment for a period of 3 years. The appointment cannot be renewed
  • Even if you have already been appointed earlier (whether or not at another university and whether or not in the same field of discipline) in a first term of up to 3 years, you can apply. The second appointment does not have to be immediately connected to a first term
  • Your appointment will start on 1 March 2025 at the earliest
  • Your remuneration will be determined according to salary scale AAP5. More information about our salary scales
