YOUR TASKS
- At least 70% of your assignment will be spent on academic research in the domain of feminist philosophy
- You act as a co-lecturer for the course Philosophy and Ethics of Gender, Sexuality and Diversity.
- You (co-)supervise students on their bachelors’ and masters’ dissertations, as well as, if possible, on their doctoral research.
- You work on peer reviewed scientific publications in the domain of feminist philosophy, preferably focusing on sexual ethics and consent.
- You work on building your own research trajectory within the domain of feminist philosophy.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a thesis-based doctorate (obtained max. 6 years ago. This term of 6 years is determined by the date written on the above-mentioned required diploma) in Philosophy or Moral Sciences.
- You have an excellent command of Dutch.
- You have an excellent command of English.
- You have scientific publications on an A1 level in the domains of feminist philosophy, philosophy of gender and sexuality, philosophy of emotions, and/or social epistemology.
- You have experience with public philosophy and science communication, using both the spoken and the written word.
- You have experience with university-level teaching.
- You have experience supervising student dissertations on a bachelor’s and master’s level.
- You have experience with writing and submitting applications for scientific research funding.
- You have experience with writing and submitting book proposals to academic presses.
- You communicate clearly, smoothly and kindly, both towards colleagues and students and towards the wider public.
- You work independently and are unafraid to take the initiative.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a contract of indefinite duration with a maximum term of 2 years
- Your contract will start on 1/02/2026 at the earliest.
