YOUR TASKS
- You will implement and fine-tune digital educational tools (e.g. implementing content on learning paths on Ufora, Peer Assessment, online proctoring, online quizzes, online tutorials, video tutorials,…).
- You will digitalize and streamline educational processes (e.g. develop templates for completing and grading assignments, develop feedback rubrics,…).
- You will provide support to teaching activities in the BScSS-program (e.g. proctoring practice-oriented on-campus seminars and exams).
- You will primarily conduct the abovementioned tasks for the following courses: ‘Quantitative Research Methods’, ‘Multivariate Data Analysis
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a degree of Master in in Sociology, Political Sciences, Communication sciences, Psychology or Educational Sciences. The degree requirement needs to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment.
- For diplomas awarded outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) must be submitted
- You are familiar with digital educational tools (e.g. learning paths on digital learning platforms, etc.)
- You have experience with quantitative research methods in social sciences.
- Excellent English language skills: oral and in writing.
- Any teaching experience or participation in extra training, etc. is recommended.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you an appointment until 31 December 2026, which will not be renewed. Attention: You cannot be appointed for a cumulative percentage of more than 30% as a Teaching Assistant at Ghent University
- Your appointment will start on 1 February 2025 at the earliest
- Your remuneration will be determined according to salary scale AAP3. More information about our salary scales
