YOUR TASKS

 

  • You will be responsible to work out a bio-assay that is compatible with and will be used for a high content screening procedure with the aim to identify plant protection products.
  • You will guide and supervise a PhD student with whom you will initiate the compound screen.
  • You will be involved in the validation of the primary hit compounds, the structure activity relation (SAR) analysis and initiate experiments to identify the mode of action of the selected compounds.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • You hold a thesis-based doctorate.
  • You have 3 years of postdoc experience and have worked together with PhD students as guiding person.
  • You have experience of working with crop plants both in vitro and in soil conditions.
  • The successful candidate has a firm background in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology and advanced imaging.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • We expect good communication skills, the ability to work independently as well contributing to a diverse research team.

 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

 

  • We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 1/07/2025-31/12/2025
  •  Your contract will start on 1/07/2025 at the earliest.
  • Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).  Click here for more information about our salary scales.
