YOUR TASKS

 

The aim of the project is to map a terminology (SNOMED CT : see: https://www.health.belgium.be/nl/snomedct ) with a classification (ICPC-3: see : https://www.icpc-3.info/ ). This will involve the following main tasks:

  • Deep understanding of ICPC-3
  • Deep understanding of SNOMED CT
  • Explore the actual documentation and guidelines with reference to SNOMED and ICPC
  • Development of guidelines for the mapping and develop tools for mapping based on algorithms
  • Identification of potential SNOMED-CT concepts (source) for ICPC-3 codes (target), and implement these for the mapping process
  • Taking care of validation and quality assurance, updates and maintenance, documentation of the process and international cooperation.
  • Supervising the tasks of mapping, translating and implementing the methodology
  • Ensuring the conceptual validity of the tools developed

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Essential:

  • You hold a Doctoral or Post-Doctoral degree on Health Sciences
  • Interest in/experience with classification and terminology and mapping in the field of Family Medicine and Primary Health Care

Desirable:

  • Quantitative research skills and data programming

Skills:

  • Accuracy, linguistic interest, scientific English, clinical background

  • We offer you a 10% contract of definite duration for a period of 12 months
  • Your contract will start on 1/12/2024 or sooner if possible.
