JOUW OPDRACHT 

 

Het Academic Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Policy (ANSER) is een wereldwijd, multidisciplinair netwerk dat zich inzet voor het bevorderen van beleid rond seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid (SRHR) dat gestoeld is op wetenschappelijke evidentie. ANSER omvat 54 leden over de hele wereld, zowel academische instellingen als non-profitorganisaties, en stimuleert samenwerking, genereert kennis, organiseert trainingen en zet onderzoeksresultaten om in concrete beleidsaanbevelingen. Door de kloof tussen wetenschap en beleid te overbruggen, versterkt ANSER wereldwijd de belangenbehartiging en besluitvorming rond SRHR. 

 

Het ANSER-secretariaat wordt geleid door het International Centre for Reproductive Health Belgium (ICRH Belgium), een multidisciplinair onderzoeksinstituut binnen de Vakgroep Volksgezondheid en Eerstelijnszorg aan de Universiteit Gent. ICRH Belgium voert (onderzoeksprojecten uit op alle gebieden van seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid, ondersteunt capaciteitsopbouw en pleit voor seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid en rechten op politieke fora.  

 

We werven een voltijds projectmedewerker aan voor een periode van zes maanden om de coördinatie van het ANSER-netwerk te ondersteunen.  

  

Functiebeschrijving:  

  • Ondersteunen van de activiteiten van de ANSER werkgroepen  

  • Opstellen van content voor ANSER-communicatiekanalen (nieuwsbrief, sociale media, mailings..)  

  • Ondersteunen bij de voorbereiding en uitvoering van het driedaagse ANSER 2026 conferentie (6-8 mei 2026) 

  • Contacten met ANSER leden en ANSER partners onderhouden en samenwerking aanmoedigen 

  • Actief zoeken naar financieringsmogelijkheden ter ondersteuning van het netwerk en zijn activiteiten, inclusief het schrijven van projectvoorstellen 

  • Ondersteunen bij het organiseren van ANSER opleidingen (ANSER Summer School, ANSER PhD Course, webinars, leerpaden…)  

 

 

JOUW PROFIEL 

 

  • Je beschikt over een Master diploma in Global Health 

  • Je hebt ervaring in het werken binnen een internationaal (wetenschappelijk) netwerk  

  • Je hebt aantoonbare kennis van mondiale gezondheid en seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid en rechten  

  • Je beschikt over goede onderzoeksvaardigheden, en bent bereid een onderzoeksproject te trekken 

  • Je schrijft, spreekt en leest vloeiend het academisch Engels, en kan ook complexe inhoud vertalen naar verstaanbare taal voor het brede publiek; Beheersing van het Spaans wordt beschouwd als een meerwaarde 

  • Je kan zelfstandig werken binnen een team  

  • Je bent een geboren netwerker, met gevoel voor interculturele samenwerking 

  • Je beschikt over sterke organisatorische en planning skills en bent flexibel en stressbestendig 

 

ONS AANBOD 

 

  • Wij bieden je een contract van bepaalde tijd voor een periode van 6 maanden  

  • De indiensttreding kan ten vroegste vanaf ​1/03/2026​

The Academic Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Policy (ANSER) is a global, multidisciplinary network dedicated to advancing evidence-based sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) policies. ANSER brings together 54 members worldwide, including academic institutions and non-profit organisations, to foster collaboration, generate knowledge, organise training, and translate research findings into actionable policy recommendations. By bridging the gap between science and policy, ANSER strengthens SRHR advocacy and decision-making across the globe. 

 

The ANSER Secretariat is managed by the International Centre for Reproductive Health Belgium (ICRH Belgium), a multidisciplinary research institute within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at Ghent University. ICRH Belgium conducts research projects in all areas of sexual and reproductive health, supports capacity building, and advocates for sexual and reproductive health and rights in political forums. 

 

We are recruiting a full-time project officer for a period of six months to support the coordination of the ANSER network. 

 

Job description: 

  • Support the activities of the ANSER working groups 

  • Prepare content for ANSER communication channels (newsletter, social media, mailings) 

  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of the three-day ANSER 2026 conference (6–8 May 2026) 

  • Maintain contacts with ANSER members and partners and encourage collaboration 

  • Actively seek funding opportunities to support the network and its activities, including drafting project proposals 

  • Support the organisation of ANSER training initiatives (ANSER Summer School, ANSER PhD Course, webinars, learning paths) 

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

 

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Global Health 

  • You have experience working within an international (scientific) network 

  • You have proven knowledge of global health and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) 

  • You possess strong research skills and are willing to lead a research project 

  • You write, speak, and read academic English fluently and can translate complex content into clear language for a broader audience; Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset. 

  • You can work independently within a team 

  • You are a natural networker with a strong sense of intercultural collaboration 

  • You have excellent organisational and planning skills and are flexible and stress-resistant 

 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU 

 

  • We offer you a fixed-term contract for a period of six months 

  • Your contract will start on ​1/03/2026​ at the earliest.
