YOUR TASKS

 

  • You will perform high quality research in the field of control systems for airborne wind energy systems. 
  • You will research and develop new controllers and advance on the methodological side in the field of control systems technology, you will validate and benchmark your controllers on virtual airborne wind energy systems. 
  • You will create impact towards how to deploy innovative controllers in real-world airborne wind energy systems. 
  • You will supervise Master thesis students and collaborate with other junior doctoral students. 
  • You will take the lead in the research on projects related to airborne wind energy systems, you will collaborate with other academic and industrial partners in these projects. 
  • You will take the lead in the ideation of research projects, both strategic and applied. 


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering
  • You are highly motivated to collaborate with colleagues, academic and industrial partners.
  • You have experience in the design of controllers for airborne wind energy systems  


WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

 

  • We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 01/03/2025 till 31/10/2026
  • Your contract will start on 1/03/2025 at the earliest.
  • Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).  Click here for more information about our salary scales.
